BONAIRE AND CURAÇAO: WORLD HERITAGE SITE NOMINATION

Goal

Complete local preparations for the proposed marine transboundary nomination with Curaçao and Venezuela

Rationale

As determined at the May 2003 workshop held on Bonaire, a substantial amount of work has to be done locally on Bonaire in support of the marine transboundary world heritage site nomination. In addition to monthly steering committee meetings, extensive support materials need to be generated and local outreach activities need to take place. A brief follow up trip to Venezuela will also be conducted at the appropriate time.
